Elections 2013 Pakistan

After an extremely below par performance by the Awami National Party (ANP), in Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa, the Pashtuns have once again shown their political progressives by electing the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to govern the province for the next five years.
This ensures better conditions for the Pashtuns in the future, a new Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa (K-P); most importantly it proves that people of K-P believe in performance rather than linguistic and ethnic considerations.
It’s an eye-opener for the rest of the country, which is unfortunately still trapped under the chains of language, caste, race and overwhelming emotions in the case of the people of rural Sindh, who despite the  poor performance of the PPP, voted for them.
Although it’s a good opportunity for the people of K-P to improve their conditions under Imran Khan, the leader himself should be conscious of the fact that the people of K-P, by nature, only give one chance to their leaders and if they do not perform they wipe them out in the next elections.
